Itinerary

Day 1: Hanoi arrival

Meet your tour guide on arrival at Ha Noi international airport and join your fellow travellers in a coach transfer to the city centre for hotel check-in.

Day 2: Hanoi City tour Half-day – Night train to Lao Cai

Half day Hanoi city tour (by car or by motorbike – upon client’s interest) - Routes can change subject to client’s interest. Begin the first day of the trip with a tour of Hanoi.

Depart from the hotel at 08:30 for a visit to Vietnam’s first university: the Temple Of Literature. Founded in 1076, Quoc Tu Giam was established within a temple to educate Vietnam's royalty, mandarins and members of the elite. Continue with a visit to the iconic One Pillar Pagoda, one of Vietnam’s most iconic temples. Nearby is the mausoleum of the historic father figure of modern Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh, and his modest house on stilts. (Sites are viewed from outside; closed Mon and Fri and from Oct-Nov)

Wrap up the morning with a visit to the picturesque West Lake and its sixth century Tran Quoc Buddhist Pagoda.Tran Quoc Pagoda is regarded as the most ancient pagoda in Hanoi with its history line of more than 1,500 years.

Have lunch at an authentic Vietnamese Restaurant. Free time at leisure for rest of the day.

Meet at your hotel in Hanoi at around 20:00 and transfer to Hanoi train station. Catch overnight train trip to Lao Cai in shared sleeping compartments (sharing with other passengers in 2 lower & 2 upper berths per compartment). Train departs at approximately 21:15.

Day 3: Lao Cai – Sapa – Lao Chai – Ta Van - Giang Ta Chai

05:30 ~ 06:00 Arrive at Lao Cai Train Station. Pick up at the train station and transfer to Sa Pa by a tourist shared bus (1 hour to get to Sapa).

Early check in upon arrival is possible upon room occupancy (Surcharge applicable). Relax for a while to get ready for our full day tour.

Start the trip at around 9:00. Our guide takes you to visit two villages of the H’mong and Dzay People, called Lao Chai Ta Van and Giang Ta Chai villages. You will start trekking from Lao Chai to Ta Van with the distance about 3km. Lunch at a local family, it gives you a worth chance for you to learn about the local house architecture which is full of their daily life styles and exclusive custom. When you finish the trekking trip at the end of the village, our bus will pick up you back to Sapa town (if you stay in the village you will trek 2km more to your homestay).

05:30 ~ 06:00 Arrive at Lao Cai Train Station. Pick up at the train station and transfer to Sapa by a tourist shared bus (1 hour to get to Sapa).

Day 4: Sapa – Cat Cat – Sin Chai – Hanoi

In the morning, have breakfast at the hotel and then check out. Take a walk down to the South-west of Sapa to visit Cat Cat Village, one of the more well-known ethnic village of Sapa. Relax at the foot of the stunning waterfall and the vestige of a hydroelectric power station that was constructed by the French during the colonial time in Vietnam.

Enjoy picnic lunch by the side of the river, and then continue trekking to Sin Chai Village, located at the foot of Fansipan Mountain- “the Roof of Indochina”, where you enjoy a stunning landscapes of the mountain. Then come back to the main road to be transferred to Sapa town on a jeep for 3km.

Transfer back to Hanoi by shuttle bus. Arrive in Hanoi in the evening.

Activities: Join on a soft trekking tour to discover the untouched beauty of the villages in Sapa before heading back to Hanoi by bus.

Trekking level: 8 km trekking, 3 km driving back to Sapa.

After a welcome on board, lunch will be served while cruising towards the bay. In the afternoon, enjoy some sightseeing, on-board activities (depending on each boat’s itinerary) or just spend some time relaxing on the vessel. Towards the end of the day the boat sets anchor for the night among the kart formations. Dinner is served on board.

Back on shore we will then transfer by car to the airport in Hanoi to catch a flight to Hue.

It will take about 1 hour 20 minutes on flight. Welcome by our driver in Da Nang Airport then transfer to hotel in Hue.

Day 7: Hue Half day city tour

08:00 – 08:15 Pick up at your hotel. Enjoy your wonderful day by taking a boat trip to visit the seven-storey Thien Mu Pagoda. Thien Mu pagoda is one of the most beautiful and ancient architectural structures of worshiping in Vietnam now. Thien Mu Pagoda has become one of the most famous tourist attractions in Hue City now.

Then visit Dong Ba market, the biggest and most significant market in Hue in particular and Central Viet Nam in general.

Continue your journey to discover the Imperial Citadel then make your way to the Hue Royal Antiques Museum to see a collection of ornaments. Hue Royal Antiquities Museum where preserves royal treasures has a history with many changes. The main exhibition house of the present museum used to be a palace under Nguyen Dynasty, called Long An Palace. It was built in 1845 by Thieu Tri King, located on the north of Ngu Ha River. It was a type of “isolated palace” for the king.

08:00 – 08:15 Pick up at your hotel. Enjoy your wonderful day by taking a boat trip to visit the seven-storey Thien Mu Pagoda. Thien Mu pagoda is one of the most beautiful and ancient architectural structures of worshiping in Vietnam now. Thien Mu Pagoda has become one of the most famous tourist attractions in Hue City now.

Then visit Dong Ba market, the biggest and most significant market in Hue in particular and Central Viet Nam in general.

Continue your journey to discover the Imperial Citadel then make your way to the Hue Royal Antiques Museum to see a collection of ornaments. Day 10: Flight to Ho Chi Minh

Free at leisure until being picked up and transferred to Danang Airport by our driver for your flight to Ho Chi Minh or Saigon. It takes about 1 hour 20 minutes to the Southern hub Ho Chi Minh City.

Upon arrival at the airport, meet our driver and transfer to hotel in Saigon. Check in hotel and relax.

In the afternoon, guide & driver pick up at your hotel. Start our city tour. Take part in tour, you will visit some typical interesting sights of Ho Chi Minh City such as: War Remnants Museum(or History Museum), Reunification Palace, Saigon Center Postoffice..

After breakfast, meet tour guide and driver at hotel. Your journey will take you to Ben Tre for a day exploring the  Mekong Delta. Activities of the day include the visit to a brick kiln factory, a coconut processing workshop and a local mat-weaving house, take Xe Loi ride (a kind of modern motorized rickshaw) or cycling tour to explore around village under coconut row and tasting some fresh seasonal fruits. One of the highlights of the tour is a ride by small sampan boat through the small canals and side-arms of the “Mighty Mekong” to observe the daily life along the river banks.

Enjoy lunch with local delicacies.

After lunch, take a short break and drive to Ho Chi Minh City. You have all rest of the day explore the city by your own.

Day 13: Siem Reap – Ta Prohm – Angkor Wat – Phnom Bakheng

Morning, visit "jungle temple" Ta Prohm, embraced by the roots of enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers. The temple of Ta Prohm was once used as a location to film the Hollywood movie Tomb Raider. Explore more of the Grand Circuit such as Pre Rup, East Mebon, Ta Som, Neak Pean and Preah Khan. Lunch at local restaurant.

Afternoon, explore Angkor Wat the most famous of all. The temple complex covers 81 hectares and is comparable in size to the Imperial Palace in Beijing. Its distinctive five towers are emblazoned on the Cambodian flag and the 12th century masterpiece is considered by art historians to be the prime example of classical Khmer art and architecture.

Last but not least, view glorious sunset from the top of the temple mountain Phnom Bakheng.
