ITINERARY MEKONG DELTA 4 DAYS 3 NIGHTS

Day 1: Saigon-CaiBe : (L,D)

At 7:3000 meet you up at hotel ,transfer 2hours to Cai Lay , starting to ride on a beautiful back roads ,through amazing fruit orchards (Durian), stopping to try some fresh Durian , one of the specialty of the region . You will be welcomed by locals with big smiles , people have not seen Westerner , specially , with your funny cycling gears..

Cycling on country roads of Ngu Hiep Island for 7km, taking a small ferry to Tan Phong island, the island of Rambutan, looks like lychee. Finishing the morning ride at Mr Sau Ca for lunch.

After lunch, we will take a boat cruise cross the main Mekong river to Vinh Long. Your choice to ride the bike or the boat to our homestay for the night.

A friendly home of Ba Linh on An Binh island run by a veteran in the war, it is quite nice to discover their history,foods..and the surrounding village..

Day 2:  Cai be-Can Tho : cycle 35-45km  (B,L,D)

 Early Vietnamese coffee and breakfast will be served ,so that, you will enjoy the truly Vietnam. Your cycling today will be along rivers, watching people activities , fishing, picking fruits , Vietnamese students going to school with traditional dress Ao Dai..

Our special tour will bring you to the heart of the Mekong and stop at some of the locals home to people life, feeling, their customs.. This can be done only with Vietnam Bicycle Travel.

Morning part:cycle 15km: taking souvernir photo with the host family, then cycling back roads of An Binh island, ride on the concrete roads, single trails, seeing villages, gardens,canals..local life in the morning of Mekong delta... finish at a ferry.

Arriving Vinh Long Capital by ferry, you may have a walk to visit Vinh Long local market, it is quite interesting spot, many vegetables, fruits, fish, sakes, rats...

Short transferring out of town to do the afternoon ride.

Afternoon part: cycle 25km: cycling back raods of Tam Binh, Cai Ngang, Tra On.. to Can Tho. On the left of High way 1, there are many small routes to Can THO, our guide will lead you into many small villages, showing you real Vietnam, Mekong delta, this is why you need local guide.stop at a local family to pick fruit, having with them.. 

There is long bridge-Can Tho, you can ride over it and end up at your hotel, or take a short transfer at the end of the day.

Day 3: CanTho–RachGia : cycle 40-50km (B,L,D )(ride 45km)

Early breakfast to visit CAI RANG ( 'crocodile teeth') floating market. This is a specialty of the Mekong where the Mekong people had have gather to exchange their fruits and vegetables in the old time, because there were no roads like now a day. But waterway is still very important in the Mekong people

After the market, ride into villages with amazing zigzag country roads, with a stop at rice paper making mill and snake man..

Today, the ride will take you into country roads, observing people life ,taking fruits around on rowing boats, picking fruits in gardens, students in long white dress..

The roads are smooth, you will enjoy your ride all the way to RachGia town where you will take a speed boat to the paradise of Phu Quoc island. The areas are not popular for tourists yet, there will be lots of big smiles waving you along the way.

Over night in  hotel in RachGia town.

Day 4: RACH GIA-PHU QUOC ( B)

There is no cycling today, our guide will take you to the pier, the boat will leave at 8:am at the pier which close to your hotel, the journey to the island will take you 2hours to the Paradise Phu Quoc, end of service, Tour end. Thank you very much !

TRIP PROFILE

This trip covers a little over 60-100 kilometers on well surfaced roads. The daily distances are not too long and the terrains is gentle so this trip suitable for most people, but it's advisable to have a modicum of fitness to enjoy the riding! Fast cyclists can ride at their own pace, as detailed directions are available from the tour leader. Our route is designed to take us off the main roads as much as possible and there is even the option to try some off roads tracks. We explore scenery back roads on the way to all our destinations,

ITINERARY:

Day 1:Transfer out of SaiGon between My Tho and CaiLay and ride back road to CaiBe.

Day 2: ride back roads from Vinh Long to Can Tho

 Day 3: Can Tho ride back roads to Rach Gia

Day 4: take a hydrofoil to Phu Quoc
